A competent and enthusiastic individual is required to provide business development and marketing support to the European regional offices of a rapidly growing legal firm.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development in London, the role encompasses all aspects of the business development and marketing mix. The Business Development Executive will be expected to develop an understanding of the business activities of the practices and business and overall strategic objectives of the relevant products, partners and professionals and offices on a regional as well as global basis. You will work with the Head of Business Development to prepare and manage the marketing budgets for the relevant offices, work with other members of the global BD team on client pitches and ensure the delivery of competent research and analysis around the practice's key clients, targets, competitors and markets on a regular and ad hoc basis. On the marketing side the successful applicant will be tasked with the project management of client events throughout the European region and will work with the Design team on the production of marketing materials and literature for the firm's European offices.
You should have prior business development experience, gained in a professional services environment. Applicants must be enthusiastic, self-starters, with good administrative, interpersonal and organisation skills. The Business Development Executive will be a confident, mature professional with a robust personality who is a team player capable of building good working relationships. You will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. Good working knowledge of CRM systems and basic financial analysis would be an advantage, whilst working knowledge of a graphic design package would be a bonus but not prerequisite.
