We need someone who can help us grow by going out and finding new business leads, nurture those opportunities, and hand over to our account management team who implement what we consider to be an industry leading service level. SALARY: £25,000 to £35,000 plus uncapped commission.

JOB SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager / Account Manger - Brand & Communications marketing agency

This new business development role will require you work off your own initiative to implement your tried and tested telemarketing/email / research and networking techniques to generate new leads and qualified new business opportunities, and then attend briefing meetings and/or present agency credentials to mid to senior level marketing decision makers.

We are open to receiving applications from Business Development Managers who have worked within the Creative Services industry or Account Managers who want to move into Sales. Consequently, they envisage the New Business Development Manager will be responsible for the following:
 
· To drive forward the agency's business development programme by targeting large national organisations and a range of SMEs.
· Create lasting relationships with key stakeholders, by generating leads, attending initial meetings and pitches, and facilitating the initial handover to the relevant Account Manager.
· Implement all avenues of lead generation using a variety of business development techniques such as networking and telemarketing.
· Attend and support client meetings to showcase the agency's marketing capabilities - demonstrating passion, knowledge and commercial acumen.
 
This is a new position within the organisation that will work closely with the Senior Management team to strategically grow the business through extending its portfolio of clients and in tandem increasing the turnover.

To be considered for this pivotal role in a very successful company you will have experience of selling a creative design, print, marketing or digital related service or solution to a range of different industries.
 
You will have an in-depth understanding of the full marketing mix and the knowledge on how to turn client briefs into award winning marketing campaigns. Overall, if you are a focused and driven lead generator who loves the thrill of the chase, then this is the ideal position for you.
