The position will involve managing and developing our regional plans for the WhatsApp Business API, focused on business messaging, strategically creating and implementing country, channel, and partner specific business plans, negotiating commercial terms and promotions, monitoring competitor activity and market trends, supporting the cross functional teams in delivering growth. Correspondingly you will create and deliver plans to deliver impact against growth & integrity efforts. You will play a key role in defining and driving impactful partnerships, solving complex product problems and building programs and infrastructure that power WhatsApp's products and drive growth across the platform.

The candidate will possess proven analytical skills and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the Product, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Engineering teams to develop new ways we can improve the WhatsApp Business Messaging experience. This is a full-time position based in our London office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*

Develop the partner ecosystem in the region to support scaling of the WhatsApp Business API

*

Create strategic relationships that will lead to successful business models for our partners and WhatsApp

*

Set targets and goals within Business Solution Providers aligned to regional expectations and ensure delivery against plans

*

Responsible for managing pipeline information and client relationships to identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future competitive trends

*

Maintain account plans and build close working relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace

*

Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels

*

Provide an objective commercial viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of commercial and competitive information

*

Work in a fast-paced and iterative environment with leaders across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Policy and Partner management teams

*

Develop and execute the partnership strategies and programs to enable our product and business strategy

*

work with product and engineering teams to identify product gaps that can be addressed through partnerships

*

Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems alongside cross-functional leaders and stakeholders

*

Achieve alignment in ambiguous or contentious areas to drive product decisions

*

Support ideation, partnership development, and launch of innovative products and services for verification on WhatsApp

*

Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels

*

Along with XFN teams, create, maintain and influence relationships with key ecosystem players in the region to help establish a narrative of WhatsApp for good.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*

BA/BS in Business or management related field (In lieu of degree, 5+ years of relevant work experience)

*

5+ years of experience in Business Development

*

5+ years of Channel Management experience

*

5+ experience in cPaaS, SaaS or enterprise software environments

*

Experience delivering partnerships from inception to delivery

*

Proven experience creating, negotiating and closing complex deals

*

Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope

*

Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership

*

Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems

*

Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones

*

Capacity to get things done at short notice while collecting information from a variety of internal and external sources.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

*

Experience in building or managing partnerships and programs around messaging systems in a large-scale environment

*

Product Management experience

*

Multilingual (a second EMEA language preferred).
