About the company

They're one of the UK's biggest employers and household name in the telecoms market. This data function provides the business with high quality self-serve reporting solutions to help them in understanding the marketing, customer and business operational performance better.

This unit sits at the heart of the organisation and is responsible for shaping multi-billion pound investment strategies, therefore, the person in this role would have a significant impact on the success of the business.

About the role

There are actually 3 vacancies within the unit, each with a different BI area to look after - 2 are focused on specific product lines and the last working within the customer value team. Each of the positions would require the specialist to be the subject matter expert for their area and be able to provide valuable inputs and high quality reporting for the business.

Each specialist will be responsible for building new MI solutions, driving self-serve reporting dashboards that will demonstrate how each of the products are performing and the key drivers of success. Also, ensuring that the MI design is consistent, with relevant governance and a high quality data is imperative to this position as they want to ensure all stakeholders are provided with professional reports, that are engaging, good and simple.

Focusing on process improvement is also an important part of these positions. They are looking for someone that can take a holistic view of the requirements from the business so that improvements can be made through technology automation, improvements to customer experience or improving the self service solutions.

Although there would be already existing reports also, you would also be required to take the lead on new reports, right from initial requirements, building of the solution, testing through to the final delivery and stakeholder sign off. You will be required to work with developers to help implement new reporting capabilities and improve overall efficiency.

Role: Business Intelligence Analyst

Base salary: £37k - £46k

Location: Central London

Benefits: 10% on target bonus, pension, medical, life assurance, 25 days holiday

Experience Required:

  • Experience setting up and implementing reporting solutions, including the design and creation of the front end dashboard
  • Good knowledge BI, automation and visualisation tools such as, OBI, Power BI, Tableau ad Qlikview etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management, an excellent communicator that's had experience of influencing business leaders. Someone that can demonstrate translating complex data into something easy to interpret
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Preference on industry background is a big consumer facing business - a person that has experience working with consumer data and previously dealt with a big business
