We are looking for Commercial Analyst to work within our Commercial Virgin Media Business team that truly understands business cases, P&L and products within technology industry to provide commercial and pricing support. You will get great exposure to exciting and high value bids, connecting with a wide variety of internal teams including remote teams and ensuring that customers realise the full value of our services.

Responsibilities

*Preparation of pricing and commercial support on bid responses, support other Commercial Managers on bid pricing and tender responses.

*Work closely with all areas of the bid team to assist with coordination of tender responses and pricing, understanding the customer’s requirements.

*Assess the pricing and profitability assessment of bids, having an awareness of commercial risk identification and potential mitigation.

*Understand commercial strategies across renewals and acquisition opportunities taking into consideration customer lifetime value creation.

*Undertake benchmarking/competitor analysis to ensure competitiveness of offering and to optimise our price and commercial positions.

*Understand key market trends, changing customer requirements, solutions based approaches and competitor activity.

*Engage directly in customer discussions throughout the lifetime of the opportunity, identifying additional /future growth or profit enhancing opportunities.

*Provide commercial support for approval in line with delegated authority levels and/or objective analysis and recommendation.

*Solid understanding of financial analytics within MS Office including Pivot tables and V-Lookups and interpreting the data.

*Interface with the Finance function regarding capex and investment decisions.

*Basic understanding of contracts and contract risk, ensure governance processes are adhered to and to demonstrate Virgin Values and Behaviours.

*Consult and negotiate directly with customers regarding individual propositions where appropriate.

*Promote collaboration across bid team: bid management, product, technical teams and Finance, partners, service, delivery, etc.

*Pro- active in responding to customers and ability to probe for specific information to understand their requirements.

This role would suit a lively/ enthusiastic by nature, driven to succeed Commercial Analyst that truly can grasp briefs and be able to deal with multiple projects and previous experience in varied teams including sales design, pricing teams, remote teams and customer exposure. Ideally with a minimum of 18 months experience with solid understanding of accountability, willingness to learn, relationship building, commercial awareness and identifying opportunities
