Position: Communications Manager
Location: Godalming, Surrey
Job type: Full Time, 12 month Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £31,000 to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

About the Role:
The purpose of this role is to help end factory farming. This role will contribute by raising the profile of the organisation by communicating its strategic objectives through engagement with all forms of the media and through the charity’s own communication channels, offering guidance and support to our client’s International offices and representatives.
- Managing activity for the organisation’s campaigns through the EU and the world’s media
- Devising and implementing broadcast/print/communication strategies and long-term planning
- Communicating the organisation’s work through the media and aid the UK communications team to
utilise celebrity opportunities
- Developing opportunities for presenting Compassion in World Farming to all forms of media plus other
- Monitoring and evaluation of media work
They are seeking a Communications Manager to join the HQ team. This post requires a passionate, experienced and creative communications professional. You need to have previous experience in PR, either agency-side or at an NGO; be able to convey strong and clear messaging and understand their target audience. You will need to be capable of working in a reactive manner, to tight deadlines, and within a team that is based throughout Europe and beyond.
Traditional media knowledge is a must, and digital and social media know-how would be beneficial. Candidates should also possess a keen interest in animal welfare.
If you have the journalistic contacts, knowledge of the animal welfare industry and most importantly, the drive and passion to sell in all of their stories to the media, then they’d like to hear from you.
