An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Manager to join our Business Development team based in our HQ office on Newcastle Quayside.

As the Communications Manager at Ward Hadaway, you will work with our teams to deliver interesting, engaging and informative content across a range of channels to raise the profile of the firm in each of our three office locations and target audiences, as well as create opportunities for the fee earners to build strong and lasting relationships with clients, targets and influencers.

Responsibilities

  • To manage the events team to successfully deliver the various corporate hospitality, seminars, roundtables our events and to coordinate our attendance as exhibitors, sponsors and speakers at other's events.
  • To review our current approach to social media, produce a social media policy and work with the People team to commission appropriate levels of training for those across the firm who wish to be active on social media platforms.

  • Set up KPI's for the website and work with web builders to ensure we're being as productive and results-based as possible.

  • Work closely with the Campaigns Manager and the Sector Development Manager's to support the delivery of campaigns.

  • Work with the Design Manager to ensure a consistent message and tone across the firm and achieve brand continuity.

  • To work alongside the Sector Development Manager's and the Campaign Manager to identify the most effective content to share with particular audiences.

  • Ensure we meet the standards set by the legal and regulatory standards, for GDPR and information security.

  • To produce detailed plans that effectively communicate the Business Development activities and their impact to various internal audiences.

Required experience, skills and attributes

  • To be a succinct and clear communicator, able to write well, and to recognise good writing when reviewing the work of others.
  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work with and influence people at all levels.

  • Considerable organisational skills, able to balance a wide range of priorities, and to delegate effectively.

  • Can develop positive relationships quickly, and gain the respect of others for their contributions.
