This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and engaging communications professional to join a leading law firm to assist the realisation of ambitious commercial objectives in a fast-paced environment.
The Communications & PR Advisor will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic PR initiatives to build the firm's profile with national and specialist media in target sectors and services. The role holder must clearly identify and understand the UK PR landscape, its requirements and also the firm's ability to exploit these across various areas. You will identify key target media journalists in national, trade, online and broadcast media and maintain working relationships with these journalists. You will have the ability to apply specific knowledge of sector landscapes to identify opportunities for the firm and to help develop cross-practice campaign ideas. The successful candidate will support the Head of Communications and the PR Manager to deliver and evaluate a programme of creative, responsive and news driven PR campaigns and monitor forward features for opportunities, critically reviewing and editing media proposals, pitch ideas to journalists. You will also be tasked with monitoring daily media coverage and identifying possible issues and opportunities through developed media relationships, calendar data management and ensuring UK PR data and resources are available to the business to use for business development activity.
Applicants for the role of Communications & PR Advisor will have prior experience working in a similar role within the professional services sector. Consultative and flexible, the ideal candidate will also be polished, business focused and will have a strong understanding of what PR means within a legal environment.
