Content & SEO Manager

Our client is currently recruiting for a Global Ecommerce Content & SEO Manager to join their team based at South Shields. You will be responsible for leading all visual content and written copy strategy across their branded sites to ensure their global customer experience and user journey is optimised and efficient as possible.

This role will plan and implement the website SEO and content strategy as well as managing the design of a customer-centric omnichannel experience to increase engagement and conversion across the business. You will help ensure they continue to grow in organic search and will execute a detailed plan of link building, keyword research, UX and customer personalisation.

Content & SEO Manager Responsibilities:

Site Content

  •  Maintain editorial vision: voice, image across all content and assets.
  •  Implement a mobile-first website content strategy across the 3 brand sites, utilising HTML skills.
  •  Ensure the timely launch of any site content, campaign and product content.
  •  Work alongside studio, brand, and creative teams to ensure all website timelines are clearly communicated and planned for efficient operations.
  •  Work closely with third parties to build out SEO strategy and implement across internal and external teams.
  •  Create and track online trade calendar in line with the overall commercial marketing calendar and implement relevant content updates throughout the season.
  •  Plan content migration for a new website & manage the deployment of new content.
  •  Work with digital and brand colleagues to define and brief content for new website and future content.
  •  Ensure all produced content has relevant objectives: brand, sales or engagement and is subsequently tracked and measured.
  •  Collaborate with the global marketing team to create compelling and imaginative ways to translate campaign content to the website channel.
  •  Keep up to date with industry and algorithmic changes and proactively make recommendations for updates to be made to improve site performance and ranking.
  •  Work closely with the PPC stakeholders to provide search synergies across both channels to optimise spend.

On-site experience

  •  Manage the design of a customer-centric omni channel experience and assist in its delivery.
  •  Manage the personalization roadmap, ensuring we create tailored user journeys.
  •  Implement an A/B testing roadmap, supporting with the selection process of a solution, and sharing results for continued site optimisation.
  •  Optimise website user design to increase conversion, goal completion and engagement.
  •  Design and develop cross channel user stories, ensuring site experience plays an optimal role.
  •  Define user site, cross channel issues and work alongside other teams, product owners to develop solutions.
  •  Manage and maintain the Accessibility & Usability across global sites in line with industry standard.
  •  Oversee all UX design projects alongside the Global Ecomm & Digital Manager.
  •  Work with Omni-channel colleagues to agree on success metrics for content, developments, and user journeys.

Global Ecommerce Content & SEO Manager Requirements:

  •  Excellent editorial skills, with a sound understanding of writing content for the web.
  •  Excellent knowledge of SEO best practice.
  •  Managed / had a direct report.
  •  Experience of working with both internal and external stakeholders and managing projects.
  •  Experience of leading on a visual content and written copy strategy.
  •  Experience of planning and implementing a website SEO and content strategy.
  •  Ability to manage the design of a customer-centric omnichannel experience.
  •  HTML skills.
