Aviva Digital is expanding and we have an opportunity for a talented Content Writer to bring our savings and investment products to life. The role is based in our Digital Factory in London with the opportunity to work in Norwich, if you prefer.
Aviva Digital was launched just 3 years' ago with the mission to change Aviva's digital capability globally and to create a direct digital business, primarily in the UK.
As we have entered the fourth year we have established strong foundations and have a clear set of priorities to build a successful, growing, direct and digital business.
Purpose of the role:
As Content Writer, you will work closely with the Savings & Investments team to generate written content. Content should drive engagement and conversion both on aviva.co.uk and across all marketing channels including display, social and search.
Duties and responsibilities:
Write and edit helpful and educational content for optimising product pages
Build strong working relationships with marketing, risk and legal teams to ensure digital content is delivered in line with appropriate regulatory, legal, product technical and brand guidelines
Cultivate strong working relationships within the team, proactively making suggestions for improvement and campaigns as well as responding to briefs
Collaborate with your team to produce high quality written content that adheres to Aviva’s brand tone of voice and offers a simple digital customer experience
Identify opportunities to improve and simplify existing copy on site or in key marketing channels
Adhere to live or virtual (e.g, Jira) Kanban board processes and keep updated as required
Challenge compliance recommendations and feedback where it is possible improve copy for customers whilst remaining compliant
Simplify and communicate complicated financial products to make them easy for our customers to understand
Author and on occasion publish content on Adobe Experience Manager content management system (training provided)
What skills and experience are we looking for?
Previous experience in a copywriting or editing role
Experience of writing B2C content for savings and investments
Ability and willingness to build knowledge of complex financial services products quickly
Able to take complex products and communicate them in a simple way that holds meaning for the end user
Experience using and managing Content Management Systems Adobe or similar would be advantageous
A skilled communicator with strong English writing and oral skills
Experience of working in web, publishing and/or digital marketing environments
Ability to challenge the status quo – we want to make savings and investments genuinely engaging
Good product knowledge for the specialism of your team
Ability to simply explain key product features and aspects in customer language while remaining compliant
