Growth & Strategy is Accenture’s internal corporate strategy function. G&S is a global team of strategy professionals working on the long-term strategy of Accenture, encompassing corporate strategy, competitive intelligence, innovation, ecosystem strategy and thought leadership.

This role is responsible for driving global competitive intelligence efforts within Growth & Strategy to understand our competitors’ strategies, competitive trends across the industry landscape and the implications for Accenture’s strategy. The primary audience for this role is the Corporate Strategy leadership team, Global Management Committee and the Board of Directors. The right candidate will play a critical role in shaping Accenture’s long-term strategy and competitive positioning in today’s dynamic technology services industry.

What Responsibilities will you have?


Shape Accenture’s understanding of our competitive landscape by developing and articulating a distinctive point of view on the strategies of its principal competitors and broader technology industry trends


Drive thought leadership and develop deep insights about Accenture’s competition, and key cross-cutting competitive threats and opportunities


Manage a portfolio of competitive intelligence research, including primary research; monitoring of secondary sources such as earnings announcements, investor days, M&A and other events; and deep-dive strategy projects into specific competitors or industry themes


Innovate and experiment with new primary data collection methods to ensure we fully leverage all internal and external data sources; experiment with new tools and approaches for analyzing, mining, and synthesizing data


Articulate a proactive point of view about Accenture’s principal competitors’ strategies and the implications for Accenture


Leverage primary and secondary research and strategic and financial analysis to interpret changing competitive dynamics in a long-term strategic context.


Direct the development and execution of a communications architecture that effectively communicates relevant competitive trends and insights across the organization as appropriate
