Salary - £37,927 - £40,034 + 5% bonus - 12 months fixed term contract

Reporting to the Sales Application Manager, you'll be supporting the B2B Sales and Marketing teams as the role is principally responsible for interpreting data, formulating insight, and making recommendations to the business and partners. Using your analytical skills to gain insight and data fom primary and secondary sources, you will be attracted to the role, which is designed to inspire and substantiate ideas and trends that will drive profitable growth for the business and stimulate new opportunities.
This is a non  people management role.

An expert in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, this role is instrumental in setting future market forecasts, internal commercial targets and anticipating challenges and issues in the market as well as ensuring that the customer is at the heart of all decision making.

You'll lead regular analysis and reporting of key quantitative data from external sources including bought data and Canon owned data to correlate a total market picture and create a clearer view and understanding of Canon’s current market share, Machines in Force (MIF) base and expiring contracts in any given period and opportunities to maximise profitability by account.

The role enables you to lead market sizing exercises to enable Canon Business Units and Marketing and Sales to establish optimal RTM across all channels.

As a local market super user for all Canon segmentation tools - development, optimisation, utilisation, you'll provide insight and quarterly updates to ensure Top 100 list of customers remains current and key metrics are measurable.

You will take the lead analysis on B2B Go to Market project work, market sizing and segmentation (firmographic), market penetration/coverage, customisation of MI tools.

Application opportunity by sector and application dashboard by customer type/future opportunity.

Improved Contract Management process through bringing together the various sources of data, in a format to allow clear analysis and insight around the potential impact on revenue based on MIF erosion, reduction in service revenue from loss of MIF or reduced click charge and how that can be offset.

Global & Strategic Accounts - account selection/prioritisation & governance.

Degree level in marketing or business subjects necessary.

Experience of using MS-Access and other analytical interfaces such as Power BI, Qlikview, PowerPivot and SQL

Advanced use of Excel, powerpoint and other applications

Business English, any other language an advantage.

A good working knowledge of the following applications - Power BI, MS Excel, MS Access for Data Analysis & Visualisation
Happy to work with existing Canon data sources i.e. Salesforce, D&B Market Intelligence Tool sets

Clear & confident communicator at all levels
Strong analytical mindset and comfortable approach to problem solving
Happy to work on wider business projects or ad-hoc marketing intelligence outputs to support – Go to Market Strategy Setting & Project Implementation
