Customer Marketing Specialist - Automotive

£37,000 - £40,000 per annum plus benefits

Full-time, permanent

We're currently working with one of the largest automotive product manufacturers in Europe, and are looking for a Customer Marketing Manager - Automotive, to create and execute innovative, value-added B2B and B2B2C marketing initiatives for the brand's customers in order to drive customer loyalty and support sales growth.

About the role:

  • Developing and implementing pioneering, business development & trade activation.
  • Initiatives to improve the customer's business and deliver mutual sales growth.
  • Uncover consumer insights and deliver innovative Customer Marketing campaigns to our customers to maintain high levels of customer loyalty.
  • Identify & propose affinity marketing opportunities that support the values of the company and its brands and support the business development of our customers.
  • Explore forward-thinking Customer Marketing initiatives from other industries to differentiate the brand and add value to customer relationships.
  • Working closely with the sales team in to sell-in, implement and review relevant business development and trade activation solutions, delivering against B2B and B2B2C business development initiatives (online and offline).
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of all Customer Marketing activities by developing robust KPI's
  • Carrying out regular reporting on competitor Customer Marketing activities
  • Responsibility for managing the annual Customer Marketing budget & spend, optimising gains and reducing costs where possible.
  • Sourcing, retention and management of external agencies, including briefing, contract management, steering and service level measurement
  • Liaise and exchange with central and other European Business Development and Customer Marketing teams.

Required skills and experience:

  • A strong career background and/or understanding of retail marketing, including excellent knowledge of working with vendors and agencies.
  • Experience in creating partner marketing initiatives in a channel marketing or account-based capacity.
  • Exposure to creating marketing initiatives to drive exponential value for the end automotive retailer.
  • Agency management experience or an agency background would be highly beneficial.
  • Assertive and confident with a "sense of urgency" for getting things done!
  • Able to work with clients of all backgrounds/sizes to give them the best value in an account-based marketing or channel marketing set-up.
