Customer Strategy Analyst

** Luxury Retailer **

CLIENT

This role sits within the Customer Insight unit of a much loved British luxury retailer, reporting into the Analytics Manager.

ROLE

Sitting within the customer insight function, we are looking for a balance of skills across the team so the hiring manager is very open to where people have come from.

For example, you may have a background in campaign analytics, CRM analytics, deep dive customer insight, pricing and promotions or even research; however, we are looking for some fundamental experience in order to be able to shape and mould the right individuals.

You will need a numerate background and the ability to apply statistical thinking to marketing and customer analytics. Within this team you are all responsible for proving targeted campaign selections for marketing campaigns, post campaign analysis as well as working on ad hoc customer insight projects; identifying tends and insights within large volume of customer and marketing data in order to answer business questions and provide solutions to business problems.

Technically they currently use SQL and Excel for all their analysis, working closely with a Data Science team who employ R amongst other Big Data technologies. So you MUST have experience in writing your own SQL code form scratch as well as using Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

There is also a Digital Analyst who you will partner with in order to provide a joined up approach to analysis and a holistic view of the customer.

The manager is charged with growing and developing this team and they output they deliver, driving a more sophisticated approach to analysis and therefore a better understanding of the customer and the company's ability to engage and build relationships with their customer base (as well of course acquiring new customers!).

So if you feel you fit the bill, and are adaptable, ambitious and able to learn quickly, this role would be a fantastic step into multichannel, retail customer marketing analytics.

LOCATION: West London

SALARY: £28k - £36k plus excellent benefits

Experienced required:

  • Educated in a numerate subject; Maths, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Machine Learning, Computer Science etc.
  • Experience using SQL and Excel for statistical analysis - this could be from marketing, pricing, customer analysis, risk, economics or even research
  • The ability to turn data into actionable insights which inform customer marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
