Joining the customer and marketing strategy team of this challenger brand within the consumer TMT market. Your role will be to take the 5yr corporate strategy which outlines the bigger picture strategy and investment roadmap, translating it into a more pointed and specific 6 to 24 month roadmap.
You will be putting the customer's voice at the heart of things - influencing propositions, channel and marketing roadmaps. Ensuring what the business is creating keeps them future fit and reflective of not only customer needs, but accounts for predicted changes to the technology driven landscape this business is a part of. Taking account of emerging consumer interests and trends, ensuring the business achieves it's bigger-picture customer and commercial ambitions.
For example - one project will likely have you looking at the evolution of IoT in home automation. From smart devices and smart speakers, mobile and connected devices as well as voice activated services, AI and VR. Accounting for their roadmap and potential convergence, and how the evolution of these will impact and shape the company's own services. Whether there's a need to create their own, or build strategic partnerships with those at the forefront of these spaces.
A lot of your remit will begin with looking at customer data and market insight. To understand the customer, market and competitive landscape. Carrying out analysis in order to make sense of large volumes of information and draw together appropriate strategies and conclusions.
You will also be responsible for handling the stakeholder engagement piece. Working with the various business units to communicate findings and appropriate strategic recommendations to influence their own roadmaps. So they're investing time and resources into the right things in order to keep this business at the forefront of its market. Developing new service capabilities, investing in new channels and likely digital offerings for consumers.
This is a role with a broad potential scope, able to really influence the business' direction. It's a team of 4 and you will be reporting to the Head of Marketing Planning & Strategy. Working together on projects which cut across all aspects of the business including channels, products and services, and have successfully influenced recent major step-changes in the firms continuing digital transformation too.
