Friday Media Group is a UK-based web company, with a clear vision, that’s expanding in the UK and internationally (we have offices in Miami, Preston, Pembroke, Netherlands and Barcelona). We currently operate over 70 websites, generating in excess of 12 million visits a month.
This role would be perfect for someone looking to develop experience in a web/data analysis role, and is keen to develop their career with one of the largest independently owned web businesses in the UK. This role is located at our head offices in Sayers Common, just outside Brighton.
You will be primarily responsible for delivering high quality data analysis, from which you must generate actionable insight to help the business grow website traffic and conversions. Training will be provided for the use of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and competitor tracking tools such as SimilarWeb.
You will also work closely with our CRO specialist to build A/B tests off the back of hypothesis’ built from data analysis and research.
Reporting to Head of Analytics, your key responsibilities include:
Owns Google Analytics reporting and reliable for maintaining reliable setup across the group
Analyse data from multiple sources including Google Analytics, SEMrush, SimilarWeb etc
Internal weekly/monthly reporting for our brands to key stakeholders and business directors via analytics tools
Develop insights from reports and data analysis to support product and marketing strategy
Build and maintain automated reporting across the business via analytics tools
Resolve ad-hoc data requests across all areas of the business; working with our marketing, product and tech team
Assist with structuring and implementing data measurement for new product features and deployments
Review and measure impact of product features through implemented data measurement
Fast learner, eager to learn
Ideally educated to a degree level in a relevant field, i.e. Mathematics or a similar discipline
A logical and analytical thinker who is great at converting data into actionable insight
Someone who is commercially minded, and is focussed on continually improving KPIs
Great communicator, with the ability to explain complicated concepts to a non technical audience
High attention to detail
Strong Excel/data manipulation skills
Desired but not essential:
Previous experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Google Analytics IQ qualification
