Digital Capability Manager

Digital, Enterprise

Why this role matters

You will be responsible for the day to day running, optimisation and roadmap development of capabilities across the digital team. You’ll gather requirements from across all product managers for core platforms (such as Adobe Experience Manager, SessionCam, NPS measurement), shape them and prioritise them.

You’ll also be accountable for providing product owner support for cross vertical programmes that span out digital estate such as re-brand, mobile app consolidation and URL naming.

We have ambitious targets to create a best in class digital sales and service experiences for customers, encouraging the entire Enterprise business to have a ‘digital first’ mentality, so communicating with stakeholders will be key.

You will maintain one unified backlog for digital. Once in place you will drive prioritisation of requirements in partnership with the rest of the digital team, wider business and BT Technology to ensure development resources are focused on the highest value items on the product roadmap.

You’ll be responsible for User Acceptance testing of all output from the digital team and deciding if it is fit for purpose to launch to market.

What you'll be doing

• Defines prioritisation and roadmap for common assets and tools across all customer verticals including:

o CMS Components and design system

o Marketing Campaign

o Digital Measurement tooling including analytics, site improvement and session recording

o NPS measurement tools

o LiveChat tools

o A/B testing tools

• Works closely with digital product owners to identify common opportunities and roadmaps

• Defines requirements and provides digital product expertise for cross digital programmes (e.g. Re-brand)

• Defines digital product strategies that work across Enterprise digital estate including:

o Domain name structure

o Mobile App strategy

• Works with Digital Delivery, CX and developers to define go to market, trialling and release strategies for new digital products and features.

• Act as a go to for external stakeholders for digital, protecting and funnelling demand into the team

• Works with Digital Strategy and Transformation to understand forward facing demand, sizing and business casing for funding approvals

• Expertise with Analysing and Communicating Market Characteristics and Needs

• Expertise with Defining / Support Product Strategy

• Expertise in Supporting Business and Product Plans

• Expertise in Developing and Implementing Product Programs / Releases

• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a highly complex matrix environment

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others at all levels of the organisation

• Effectively communicate at all levels of the organisation, verbal and written
