How would you like to be handed the reigns for digital content strategy on behalf of one of London's rapidly growing and incredibly exciting 'digital hubs'?

The chance to build your own team, joining the business on a growth mandate that's also got lots of really exciting and large-scale projects. Overseeing a 24 month roadmap covering - Editorial, Audio, Video, and Creative Imagery which is aligned to lifestyle and home improvement platforms.

You will be deciding what a world-class digital publisher should look like and delivering just that. Also deciding the role SEO plays in driving traffic to sites and achieving the desired commercial goals too. How to use creative assets across the various sites and how the business can create and establish credibility for all content, making it a source consumers will turn to because it's creative, innovative and combines the content itself with other digital functionality which really makes the customer's experience ergonomic and truly powered by what 'digital' is able to do in really innovative and inventive ways.

This is a 'digital garage', a start-up environment that's very well backed and has a roadmap of both ambitious growth and major projects to deliver over the coming couple of years. There's a massive parent company behind all of this, and the company is scaling at the moment. There's a couple of hundred like-minded people engaged with the business already, but further growth is guaranteed!

As the Digital Content Lead, you will be responsible for setting up both your team and the network for content - deciding on the strategy and what imagery to accept and decline, what great editorial looks like and how to leverage it to drive customer engagement. Fundamentally you will be really empowered in this role to put your expertise to good use and just crack on with getting stuff done!

The ambition is for this to become a publisher of scale, with content created centrally, through your team, to drive this

  • Previous experience relevant to this role is a must - can have been established in either an agency or client side environment across editorial content and audio/visual too, with a slight emphasis on digital video
  • You're led teams of digital and traditional graphic designers, as well as content producers and video designers too
  • You've got a portfolio of exceptional work delivered on behalf of high profile consumer businesses which operate in principally digital environments
  • Great team leadership credentials, you've been responsible for overseeing other people's work before - to time, to quality and with great team engagement skills
  • You're someone who thrives in highly creative, buzzy and entrepreneurial environments - you love all things digital!
  • You just get how great content can be used as a fishing line to be shared, syndicated and ultimately drive people to come to a website
