So why is it different? Well, this is a chance to join a business who are at the start of something big! They're already very well established and successful, however, this is a newly created position and by taking on the role of digital marketing executive you won't be inheriting anything, instead you'll be joining at the start of several key changes and implementations which you will be responsible for. The business have recently centralised their marketing department within Cambridge and they are in the process of creating a new website which is being completely redesigned with new branding. They are also restructuring their ad-words accounts as well as implementing a new Salesforce system, and so given the digital transformation they are going through, this is a great opportunity to play a leading role in their development and expansion.
You will be working alongside, and will be trained and supported by, some highly experienced marketers who will focused on developing your digital skill-set so that you are able to take on bigger and more challenging tasks moving forward. They will also invest in you by proposing relevant training courses and events for you to attend in order to further develop your skills.
In a nutshell, you will be responsible for managing and optimising both paid and organic search channels as well as social/digital advertising. Working within a multi-skilled marketing team you will develop and grow campaign performance and capability, taking advantage of new digital channels and using analytical insights to optimise spend in order to deliver against set marketing objectives. The role will require you to review and restructure Adwords accounts as appropriate, provide suggestions for SEO improvements, manage the day to day running of existing digital campaigns, manage web analytics (Google Analytics), report monthly to key stakeholders, and manage a significant budget.
For this role we're looking for someone with passion, ambition, a curious and enquiring mind as well as an appetite for learning. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with a wide range of internal stakeholders within the business, many of whom don't understand digital. You will need to have a minimum of one to two years experience in a relevant digital marketing role, ideally with some paid search experience within Google Adwords or Bing, as well as some knowledge of Google Analytics or a similar analytics package.
