Overall Job Purpose

As part of the App Marketing Team, the Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for creating, implementing and analysing digital marketing campaigns that will drive subscriptions to digital magazines available across the Immediate Media portfolio.

Accountabilities

* Implement digital marketing campaigns across a large range of channels including email, social, push notifications, display, Mobile Networks and PPC to generate App downloads and subscriptions
* Create, implement and report on digital marketing campaigns across a wide range of channels including Email, Push Notifications, Facebook Ads, PPC, Affiliate and Mobile Networks to drive app downloads and in-app purchases
* Execute and measure Content Marketing Strategy ensuring all commercial and customer metrics are delivered, providing key customer insights and learnings from ongoing analysis
* Responsible for the end-to-end management of campaigns including research, design, implementation, reporting and analysis
* Manage campaign budget to ensure spend is being used effectively across multiple channels and suggest new opportunities to test.
* App subscriptions – devise and implement campaigns to drive IAP (in app purchases) and shell downloads with a focus on subscriptions
* Use web, social and app analytics including Google Analytics, Facebook Power Editor/Ads Manager and AppsFlyer to optimise performance of channels
* Use Photoshop to amend creative work for use across multiple channels
* Manage day-to-day relationships with related platforms, agency partners and key internal stakeholders
* Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity in order to make recommendations on how we can continually improve our digital strategies
* Track cost and revenue KPIs for each campaign maintaining performance trackers at brand level and for portfolio campaigns, presenting this information at team meetings when necessary
* Maintain quality competitor analysis research covering product, pricing strategy, proposition, marketing tactics and initiatives
* Optimize existing affiliate’s relationships and suggest new partners to explore working with

Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

* Educated to degree level or equivalent (marketing)
* Significant experience in digital marketing, with a proven successful track record in digital campaign management
* Experience of digital/App customer journey analysis, and conversion optimisation
* Experience of working with Email Service Providers, preferably Adestra and competent in building and launching email campaigns
* Numerate and analytical, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and web analytics, specifically Google Analytics
* Demonstrable experience of creating successful content marketing plans across several platforms
* Experience in mining and selecting appropriate campaign data from a Customer database
* Knowledge and experience of HTML
* Knowledge and experience of Adobe Photoshop
* Demonstrable experience of creating successful content marketing plans across several platforms
* Experience of social campaign management
* Experience of App marketing to various platform stores
* Knowledge of Push Notification campaign management is desirable
* Awareness of developing trends in Publishing such as Apple News and Facebook Instant Articles
* Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, and best practice
* Understanding of subscriptions based business models is desirable but not a requirement
* Excellent copywriting skills with ability to write marketing copy depending on channel
* Able to communicate clearly (in writing, presentations and on a one-to-one basis) to all stakeholders
* Able to build relationships with stakeholders across the business
* Able to build and maximize relationships with third party suppliers to ensure efficiencies and added value
* Pro-active and able to deliver to deadlines
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload on the needs of the business
* Ability to work well under pressure and to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders
* Ability to work well without close supervision
