Digital Marketing Executive 

Our client is an open source provider of real-time digital business and market intelligence data. They have provided device detection and analytics information for over 8 years and they are recognised and trusted by some of the world’s best brands including eBay, Fandom, Tencent and Disney. 

Position: Digital Marketer 
Location: Central Reading, very close to Reading Station 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 
Salary: Up to £35k per annum, depending on experience

About the role: 

This is a role for someone who wants to join an already successful business, and which has big aspirations. You will be a self-starter and be confident and able to work with just about everyone at our client because so many people have a part to play in how they create, deliver, promote and talk about what they are good at. 

You will work directly with the CEO and our Head of Sales specifically to: 

- Ramp up their on-line presence to drive more inbound business customers through on -line orders and enquiries. 
- Raise awareness of, and promote the solutions they can offer to CTO’s, CIO’s, marketing professionals and Developers in their business target segments. 
- Populate, manage and deliver the marketing plan including; targeted emails to customers; weekly e-mails, social media, SEO, CRM, support for trade shows and open source Web distributions. 
- Author and / or commission and distribute content which is targeting marketing professionals; examples include creating customer case studies and highlighting mutual business successes. 
- Keep ahead, and stay ahead of the competition by analysing competitor activity and putting forward responses. 
- Take a lead when required on activities that align with digital marketing and other channels including the creation of content for both print and digital media. 

This is busy, demanding job in a growing business. You will need to show you can get your head around their complex technology, be flexible and able to think on your feet, and be able to give them examples of how you are resilient and able to cope with the pace of change in a results-focused tech business whilst being able to construct and deliver great marketing messages, and with the alacrity that can demand. In short you will relish the challenges of working in an environment where average is not acceptable. 

About you: 

The role would ideally suit an energetic, technically minded individual, passionate about the Web, mobile technology, and analytics, with a marketing or computer science degree (or similar) and experience working in a B2B environment. Superb written communication skills are essential as is a good working understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You’ll make daily use of the browser’s Developer Tools features to optimise web pages, and be able to explain the implications of the async attribute in the script tag among many other subtleties.
