An excellent regional digital role has arisen in a leading national law firm. The Digital Marketing Manager will work as part of the Client & Market Development team and will be responsible for ensuring that the agreed brand messages and sales propositions of the firm are shared across all digital channels in an effective, optimised and consistent manner.
Based in Birmingham, the role holder will be the subject matter expert for all things digital. With line management responsibility for two digital specialists, the Digital Marketing Manager must build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide proactive support to the firm, offering expert guidance and technical support on all forms of digital marketing and delivering strategic advice in the development of future digital plans and recommending new ideas. The successful candidate will work alongside the CMD Leadership Team to define a content marketing strategy through 'owned' digital channels including web, email and social and will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of the firm's digital transformation project, ensuring the firm's brand is positioned as a forward thinking and pioneering law-led professional services organisation. You will oversee and manage the design and development of key user experiences across digital channels, monitor website traffic and research and manage SEO strategies to drive traffic and manage the firm's e-marketing platforms and digital marketing campaigns. You will also be expected to own the process for optimising all content, ensuring that best practice is in place when creating content for digital channels. Working with the Head of Marketing to develop a framework and designing and managing digital KPI reporting to guide and inform digital marketing optimisation and management, will represent an important part of the role as will collaborating with agencies and other vendor partners to develop the firm's digital marketing knowledge and approach and to get best value from any supplier relationships.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be confident, proactive and solutions focused, with a team-oriented attitude, and will possess strong project management and communication skills, with an ability to liaise, both internally and externally, at all levels. This role would suit a digital professional with previous experience in a similar digital marketing role gained in a professional services environment. Previous experience of working in a law firm would be advantageous but is not essential. Exceptional digital technical knowledge and understanding of the digital marketing landscape, technologies and techniques is prerequisite and you should also have a proven record of successfully line managing other digital and marketing personnel and managing and getting the best from external suppliers.
