Digital Media Manager – FMCG Client-side

Exciting opportunity for a senior digital media specialist, with agency or client-side experience, to be part of a new team driving forward the digital media strategy for a major consumer goods business with a portfolio of well-known brands.  In this key role, you will use your hands-on understanding of the digital media landscape, and strong strategic and creative thinking skills, to build a robust strategy – ensuring best in class digital media buying and delivery across Paid Search, On-line Video, Display Ads and Paid and Organic Social Media.  You will also be responsible for managing the internal tech stack and developing the company’s understanding of its audience segments to more effectively target media choice and usage across different brands.  As part of a growing team, you will be involved in decisions around e-commerce strategies and digital shopper journeys; using your knowledge and expertise to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities also include:

  • Developing the company’s first party data, and audience segment pools for more granular targeting of media
  • Supporting the Team Leader with audience segmentation & personalisation across different brands
  • Making best in class digital media buying decisions across Paid Search, On-line Video, Display Ads and Paid and Organic Social Media
  • Using end-to-end tracking to understand what is working most effectively – sharing learning with the wider marketing team to optimize the communications mix
  • Setting and managing the delivery of campaign KPIs

Skills & Experience Checklist

With experience gained in a leading media agency, digital consultancy or client-side role, you will have an exceptional grasp of media and marketing issues; in particular how to develop and implement digital media campaigns across multiple channels to engage and drive consumer interest.  Your other key attributes will include:

  • Extensive hands-on experience working with media buying tools
  • Extensive experience optimising digital campaigns with a deep understanding of SEA, SEO, Programmatic, On-line Video and other techniques
  • Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to work with complex figures and multiple information sources
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, able to inspire and motivate colleagues and management at all levels
  • Deep understanding of key Microsoft and analytical software packages
