The Opportunity

This role is for someone who has deep knowledge & experience using website analytics and other digital marketing tools to monitor user behaviour, turning insights into recommendations. Communication will be key to success and you'll be as comfortable presenting data clearly to different stakeholders as you will be stuck into Analytics.

This is a highly collaborative role and you will also assist the Campaigns Team with tracking & analysis of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Our client don't just need someone who thrives on data, you'll also be managing award winning agencies and internal development teams to support delivery of new digital projects and features.

The Role: As Digital Performance & Optimisation Exec this is an opportunity to be the digital marketing lead within a multidisciplined Marketing team. The role is responsible for:

  • Using analytics, A/B testing & knowledge of digital best practice, develop, lead and own the optimisation process to drive improvements across our ecommerce website and digital marketing tools.
  • Monitoring site traffic and KPI measures for a new website launching soon, identifying any problems with site performance and 'wow' features, including on-site search.
  • Helping coordinate the launch of new websites and features, including managing customer feedback and carrying out user acceptance testing for new releases.
  • Identifying new functionality or enhancements that will improve the overall customer experience.
  • Designing and implementing goals & reporting for new website features as part of a roadmap of ongoing development.
  • Taking ownership of existing analytics tools. Recommending & implementing new analytics & digital marketing tools to drive improvement & customer insights.
  • Devising leading and implementing an SEO strategy. Understanding best practice and latest development in SEO and ensure the website is up to date for these both technical SEO and content SEO. Including updating meta-data and tags.
  • Proposing and executing a successful lead generation programme using a combination of existing and new channels and commercial models - consider influencer marketing, paid advertising etc
  • Managing a monthly optimisation budget.
  • Writing content briefs for the Campaigns Team and external agencies.
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of UK, European and Global competitor website functionality and digital strategies. Use these to guide future development work

For this Digital Performance & Optimisation Executive, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in Website Manager/Performance Optimisation/SEO.
  • Proven, recent experience of driving digital optimisation using web analytics.
  • Proficient using web analytics tools: Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Hot Jar and AB testing tools such as Optimizely in an E-commerce website environment.
  • SEO both on and off site with hands on experience of the latest SEO tools e.g. SEM Rush, MOZ
  • Highly proficient handling data, creating reports and using Excel.
  • Good understanding of what great UX looks like.
  • A methodical and analytical approach with a keen eye for detail and good numeracy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in written and spoken English and the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical departments and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, multi-task multiple sized projects and foresee problems before they arise.
