THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

The Digital Product Owner will own digital product(s) and be responsible for prioritising and maintaining its backlog. As part of a project team, s/he owns the delivery of high quality, customer-led digital product, ensuring focus on the items that will deliver the most significant business value. The role is responsible for building the right product for the business and working closely with the extended Product team to interpret and ensure alignment with strategy, roadmap and business goals.

* Support execution of our digital and technology strategy.
* Launch new digital products and enhance existing ones.
* Deliver against and support the vision, strategy and roadmap for your product(s).
* Be a focal point of contact for the business for the defined product/portfolio of products.
* Continuously monitor customer needs, market trends, competitor activity and regulatory changes to ensure the product remains a category leader.
* Maintain the end-to-end customer experience of the product.
* Brief stakeholders and senior management on the product roadmap, and associated deliverables, to ensure cross function alignment.
* Deeply understand customer needs and gather requirements from stakeholders.
* Deliver agreed benefits (both functional and financial) for your product(s).
* Manage product feature prioritisation; ensuring stakeholders understand the compromises and constraints.

* Internal External
* Senior management for roadmap and strategy
* Brand team for alignment to brand strategy / asset development
* International Digital Products for Customer Experience and internal alignment
* International Digital team for integration into website operation, event activation and digital marketing activity
* Customer Insights / Research for business case development and validation; KPI setting / measurement
* Market teams to engage them with roadmap and support market adoption
* Legal to ensure that deployments meet local legislative requirements
* IT to deliver the ongoing development and support
* Finance to validate business cases and setup ongoing reporting
* Retail Academy / Retail Ops for deployment, training and stores execution
* Sourcing / Procurement for vendor selection process
* Customer Insights / Research for business case development and validation; KPI setting / measurement
* Customer Care for management of customer issues, complaints and service
* Customer Insights / Research for business case development and validation; KPI setting / measurement
* Customer Care for management of customer issues and complaints
* Head Franchise representatives
* Technology suppliers
* Freelancers / Contractors

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

* Agile development experience
* Experience working as a business analyst and product owner with varied project delivery across ecommerce, IT and change management
* Retail/consumer facing experience or experience working in a technology company or agency environment. Retail experience is preferred
* Able to deliver software development/integration projects that cover front-end, backend, online and offline
* Able to own roadmap and help to shape this by working closely with various stakeholders to integrate with business strategy
* Experience with change management and working in a matrix or complex global environment

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BSc degree or equivalent practical experience

LOCATION

Our global HQ is located in the heart of East Croydon – 1 minute walk from the train station and is just 10 minutes train ride from Clapham Junction and 16 minutes from London Victoria. Our brand new office opened just over one year ago and provides a light, modern and open-plan work space that includes an onsite global café and even a living wall in the reception area.
