Sitting within the Yield & BI team the Digital Yield Analyst will become the expert in online advertising pricing, inventory, and yield across all Hearst UK digital brands.

This person will primarily be responsible for assisting in the implementation of a yield management solution, defining a yield management strategy, and identifying the necessary resources to support an on-going yield focused practice that maximizes advertising revenue and identifies key opportunities for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop quantitative analysis, reporting, and predictive models to support well-informed decision-making regarding pricing, inventory, and system improvements

• Act as gatekeeper within the campaign booking process to evaluate financial performance across delivered activity

• Maintain adherence to business rules and rate cards for all digital sales orders

• Take ownership for the communication of custom pricing across the business including centralised yield & pricing queries

• Lead half yearly review of digital rate card and on-going incentives

• Proactively identify and provide monetisation solutions and process impressions

• Maintain close relationships with key stake holders in sales, commercial operations and finance to act as an advocate for the business and stay informed about planned changes

• Communicate with various teams (audience, content studio, video) to highlight any issues and make recommendations to continuously improve financial performance of each area

• Take ownership of monthly report to digital yield, added value and other ad-hoc reporting

Key Skills

• Excellent data analysis and presentation skills

• Analytical/inquisitive approach to work

• Ability to work autonomously and with small groups where necessary

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Fluent with Microsoft Office products

Desired Skills

• Experience in digital advertising or media/publishing industry

• Experience working with sales teams/commercial organisations

• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau), SQL or VBA

• Knowledge of ad tech providers
