Direct Marketing Executive

The Direct Marketing Executive will successfully manage and review donor recruitment and retention campaigns in order to maintain and grow income to our client from individual regular and cash donors.

Direct Marketing Executive Responsibilities:

  • Manage supporter acquisition and retention activity such as their upgrade and loyalty campaigns as well as working alongside the Senior executive to manage face to face, DRTV and cash acquisition activity. Working with their creative agency, media agency, telephone agency, face to face agency and inhouse data analysts.
  • Taking ownership in developing our clients cash reactivation programme, and taking more of a strategic and budgeting role to ensure supporters are reactivated cost effectively.
  • Full campaign management including briefing agencies, sourcing material, managing data selections, agreeing creative concepts, copy development, managing the approvals process, proofing, briefing donor care, setting up and monitoring campaign fulfilment, campaign analysis and reporting, managing costs and invoice processing.
  • Monitor budgets for the campaigns you manage, working as part of the Individual Giving team to reach strategic targets.
  • Work closely with the Data team to review direct marketing campaigns and ensure what information is used to maximise income for future campaigns.
  • Work with the Individual Giving Team to implement the Emergency fundraising strategy and play a key part in our clients emergency fundraising response.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our client so that you can communicate the key messages effectively to both new and existing supporters.
  • To represent them at external industry meetings.

Direct Marketing Executive Requirements:

  • Minimum of one full year’s experience in a direct marketing environment (preferably in the charity sector).
  • Knowledge of direct marketing recruitment and development techniques.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Experience of working successfully with external suppliers to deliver direct marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of using a fundraising database for direct marketing purposes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written skills including experience of writing and commenting on fundraising copy.
  • Excellent organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and Word

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a fundraising department.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and highly numerate with experience of keeping and monitoring financial records.
  • Knowledge of on-line marketing.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good understanding of delivering excellent customer service/donor care.

Location: London, Concern UK is currently working remotely, however when our offices re-open it will be with enhanced safety measures within government guidelines. Staff will also be able to avail of a weekly combination of home and office working within the parameters of their role and company policy.

Contract length: 12 months fixed term

Salary: £29,517 to £32,624 per annum
