Director of Marketing Science, EMEA

(London, United Kingdom)

Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. Through our family of apps and services, we're building a different kind of company that connects billions of people around the world, gives them ways to share what matters most to them, and helps bring people closer together. Whether we're creating new products or helping a small business expand its reach, people at Facebook are builders at heart. Our global teams are constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to empower people around the world to build community and connect in meaningful ways. Together, we can help people build stronger communities — we're just getting started.

The Director of Marketing Science is our leadership position in EMEA and will work with internal and external stakeholders to advise clients and influence the industry across the region with a goal towards making all marketing measureable. This work will require managing a team across geographies to drive the adoption of learning agendas with clients and adoption of first and third-party products. A successful candidate will use a combination of techniques to drive insights and develop measurement strategies. This will help clients adopt better measurement and use insights as a way to improve business performance.

The person in this role will look to drive industry adoption of Facebook preferred measurement methods and products and design and execute empirical research for individual clients and at the industry-level. Success in this role will require activating the ecosystem: advising on and executing against the strategy for industry bodies and Joint Industry Committees, participation in which, could accelerate adoption of good measurement at a country level and across the region

Conclusions from this work will showcase what good measurement is and how a client can act upon it to drive business impact. The role will require a person with strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to build deep relationships at senior marketing and other C level roles. To successfully influence how clients conduct and use measurement, the candidate will need to be able to work cross-functionally with advertisers, sales teams, and other members of the Marketing Science team. This role will require working closely with Product, R&D and Partnerships teams to develop or pilot new methodologies.
