Salary: £28,000-£32,000 per annum

Halsbury Travel is a leading school tour operator. Established nearly 40 years ago, we're school travel specialists, taking groups to destinations all over Europe and further afield

Because of their support, we're growing rapidly. So, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our marketing team. And you'll be joining them at a really critical time, as they've just launched a successful rebrand

You'll take up an important role at the heart of the team, as you take ownership of the email marketing channel

You'll have a passion for crafting compelling campaigns to support our marketing initiatives and, of course, drive sales. You'll have an analytical, results-oriented approach. And you'll have a proven track record of creating email strategy that supports our business objectives and drives growth. You'll know how to create email content that speaks in our tone of voice, and you'll be comfortable adapting it for different audiences

Key responsibilities

  • To produce, develop and own the email marketing strategy, including: content ideation, scheduling emails, writing copy and designing visual assets
  • Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies
  • Design and create email automation campaign flows
  • Set up and monitor the effectiveness of automated emails and flows
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and contact preferences
  • Proofread emails (including checking grammar and spelling
  • Establish an A/B testing programme for all email activity to support campaign optimisation
  • Track & analyse campaign performance & results
  • Develop specific email strategies to support marketing initiatives and drive sales
  • Produce monthly performance reports
  • Create and manage complex customer segments
  • Support the overall development of the CRM strategy working alongside the Head of Marketing & Content Manager
  • To ensure contact data is cleansed and maintained

Who we're looking for

  • At least two years of experience working in a similar role
  • Experience working with analytics tools to monitor and demonstrate campaign performance
  • Good knowledge and experience of customer segmentation
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Creative flair for writing and designing engaging email campaigns
  • Confident using design software (Canva and photoshop) to create visual campaign assets
  • Experience designing complex email and CRM automation flows
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritise your own workload
