We’ll give you the skills, knowledge and behaviours to become a Manufacturing Engineer, maintaining some of the newest and fastest production lines in Britvic.
Through a mix of college-based learning and real ‘hands on’ on the job learning you will work towards achieving a nationally recognised Level 3 Engineering Technician Standard. During our apprenticeship you will be paid an attractive salary, even when you’re at college.
You’ll work with our engineering team where you’ll develop your knowledge and expertise throughout your apprenticeship.
-Attend College for the first year of the role to develop hands on skills and learn basic engineering principals
-Attend College on a day release basis to develop skills, knowledge and behaviours the required Apprentice standard
-Working with and supporting Technicians to complete intrusive, planned & preventative maintenance schedules
-Support Technicians with breakdown maintenance across production lines and support processes
-The observance of safe practices at work and knowledge of the necessary statutory requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act
-Work collaboratively with suppliers, project and site teams
-Develop through college, coaching and self-learning an ability to carry out engineering tasks independently and with minimal support from others
-Take part in all training and development activities that are deemed appropriate by Britvic to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship
-Develop a continuous improvement approach
Knowledge and skills required
-GCSE Grade A-C in Mathematics, English and a Science or Engineering subject
-An aptitude towards hands on work and a strong interest in engineering
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to interact with people
-Eagerness to learn with a strong work ethic
-Ability to work within a team while supporting and learning from those around you
The role will require some flexibility of hours when in the factory, there might be an element of shift working which should include nights but may include early starts, evening working and weekend working.
