We launched our first advertising program in 2006, and since then have built a global portfolio of advertising solutions on Amazon owned sites, mobile web and apps, Fire tablet and TV, out of home, and on thousands of external publishers on desktop and mobile through programmatic advertising.

We have an opportunity for a dynamic, driven Event Marketing Manager to join the advertising marketing team building events programs that enable our Europe advertising sales teams.

This is an opportunity to join a growing team and make a significant contribution to building world-class events programs. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative and dedicated to continually testing, measuring, learning and evolving your events programs. When you build something that delivers results, you’ll need to be able to scale your program across teams and enable other global team members to leverage your work to establish similar programs. Your objective is to develop event programs which drive engagement with advertisers, providing opportunities for sales to build their business with new and existing clients.

The candidate will develop and own the EU5 advertiser event strategy in partnership with corresponding sales stakeholders, including planning, executing, and reporting for events in these markets. Candidate will also be in charge of the event programming that will enable sales teams for these events. Candidates must be passionate about event marketing, a self-starter, and have strong interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills. They will collaborate with training, HR, marketing, operations, and business teams.

Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute the direct-to-brand event strategy for the EU5.
· Provide logistics support for advertiser events. Tasks include scheduling, vendor management, AV services, catering, editing, organizing, and storing content related to events.
· Own reporting for the team. Reporting includes a combination of evaluations such as feedback forms and other data sources combined in Excel.
· Own the advertiser event budget. Handle invoicing and purchases for events.
· Project manage content when needed for the events.
· Work with additional vendors for contracting events.
The ideal candidate will be metrics-driven with strong ownership and focus. Candidate will need to be able to prioritize effectively and communicate clearly and persuasively. This person is able to drive focus and excellence within the programs they own, with their colleagues in marketing and with the sales and product teams they work with. This position does not have any direct reports.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree.
· Proven event experience.
· Experience interpreting consumer data and making business recommendations to drive event performance.
· Experience with managing a budget.
· Ability to travel 5-10 times per year.
· Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA.
· Demonstrated ability to manage complex and highly visible projects at the executive level.
· Experience with an internet or technology company.
· Experience in ecommerce, advertising or digital marketing.
· Strong bias for action: ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Move easily between generating big, creative ideas, and driving ongoing process improvement.
· Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to influence.
· Proven analytical and data decision-making capabilities.
· Track record of taking ownership and driving results.
· Proven ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
· Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment.
