Becoming an Events Manager with Local Government Software:
The Events Manager is responsible for the design preparation and staging of conferences, exhibitions and sales events on both a local and national level for Capita’s software businesses. The Events Manager will have line management responsibility for an Events and Marketing Executive, work closely with the Marketing Managers and key stakeholders. The Events Manager will ensure events and conferences are delivered to a high standard of professionalism and creativity, on time, within budget, helping the businesses achieve their objectives. The Events Manager can be based in Chippenham or London on an initial 6 months contract.
What you will do:
Management responsibility for all events activities from initial meeting through to event analysis across all businesses
Ensuring that all events run smoothly and professionally, reflecting Capita’s market leading position
Working closely with the relevant Marketing Manager for delivery of customer conferences, taking management responsibility for all organisation and logistics
Line management responsibility for an Event and Marketing Executive who will support event delivery as well as creation of artwork and printed materials for events
Responsibility for briefing and communicating with external companies to ensure that stand builds, bespoke and exhibition stands, are delivered on time and to the business’s requirements
Ensuring that all deadlines are met when exhibiting at third party events and all paperwork is completed and returned on time
Your experience will include:
* Relevant experience working in an Events Manager role within a corporate organisation
* Strong administration, accuracy, attention to detail and proof-reading skills
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Ability to adapt to ever-changing workload priorities with a willingness to take responsibility and ownership of role
* Proven ability to work autonomously, manage own workload and see tasks through to completion
* Excellent project management skills
* Solid understanding of marketing principles and event coordination and procedures
