Events Sales Consultant – Basic up to £25,000 – London, UK

The Role

We’re looking for intelligent and ambitious first or second jobbers to join us as Events Sales Consultants to work across some of the most prestigious awards events and conferences for some of the most recognisable brands. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will have a burning drive to succeed and demonstrate your strong sales skills to convert new opportunities, as well as maximising every existing relationship we have with the biggest players in the industry.

Your key goal will be to take full ownership of each campaign, becoming the first point of call allowing you to build long lasting relationships with clients who already know our exemplary standards of service. The usual sales buzzwords of ‘resilience, drive and successful’ are all relevant here but what separates us from the pack is the opportunity for you to be at the forefront of one of the UK’s leading privately-owned media organisations noted for career growth and development.

The key responsibilities of an Events Sales Consultant include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining a minimum of 90 minutes of daily telephone contact with your accounts and building excellent working relationships to drive revenue
  • Maintaining a robust and ambitious sales plan to ensure maximum delivery against sales targets for entire portfolio
  • Leading trading updates with your line manager and key stakeholders weekly and always have 100% accuracy of event numbers and pipelines
  • Raising and maintain brand profile and become the recognised face of your portfolio, internally and externally
  • Monitoring competitor activity closely, understanding the market forces influencing your sector
  • Being an example to the team and set the standard with regards to KPI’s, target performance and behaviours

The key skills and qualities of an Events Sales Consultant:

  • Minimum one year’s sales experience with a proven and successful track record of a consultative new business approach; degree education and events sales experience preferred
  • Professional, entrepreneurial, organised and with strong commercial awareness
  • As the face of your brand, you must be punctual and well-presented with excellent communication skills and world class time management
  • Must have a high level of emotional intelligence with a commitment to development and success
  • Must be proficient with general computer use including Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with CRM; and with a structured sales training method, such as DIPIDA, is preferred

£25K base salary and attractive uncapped commission + benefits awaits
