We have an exciting opportunity to join our team based in London as a Finance Professional, Central Accounting and Systems.

The Central Accounting and Systems team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of a number of Finance systems. The team is also involved in the development and on-going maintenance of a number of applications and templates used for reporting, data collection and validation of the accounting data used throughout Finance.

Additionally the team plays a key role in the design and implementation of the Finance wide Avalon programme, while also having a particular focus on the implementation of the FCCS Consolidation package (Oracle) which will replace Chess.

The team works closely with other areas of Finance including, External Reporting, Group Reporting, Entity Accountants, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Cost Management and Procurement as well as the internal and external auditors and SanTech.

As a Finance Professional, Central Accounting and Systems your main responsibilities will be

* Submission of packs into SAP BPC and supporting the successful implementation of the Avalon project

* Managing the monthly budget transfer process in Cognos

* Annexe maintenance and development, consolidation reconciliations

* Maintaining and developing complex spread sheets including VBA code

* To develop and maintain the templates used for group reporting

* Reviewing and create efficiencies for existing controls

* Assisting with the administration and maintenance of various systems including Chess and Cognos

Minimum skills and experience required

* Good UK financial accounting experience, preferably within a bank

* Strong Excel skills, including VBA

* Experience of working with finance systems (General Ledgers etc.) preferably a financial consolidation solution

* Experience of using Oracle SmartView (Essbase) / IBM Cognos Planning)

* Exposure to working as part of a project team

Salary is £35,000 - £40,000
