The Consumer Customer Facing Unit (CFU) delivers over £10bn of revenue and £2.4bn of EBITDA for BT Group. The CFU has three consumer brands; EE, BT and Plusnet – and numerous product lines including Landline, Broadband, Mobile, TV and Sport. This provides employees fantastic opportunities to grow their knowledge of the industry and develop a long-lasting career within the unit. Consumer finance plays a key role in driving top and bottom line growth. The function provides insightful reporting, analysis and business partnering that is integral to optimising decision making and delivering value for shareholders.
Consumer Financial Controlling plays a key role within Consumer Finance, ensuring the accurate accounting for both the EE & BT brands. We don’t just focus on the financials though, we look after the control environment to ensure Consumer is fully compliant with Group policies and accounting standards, empowering its people to take ownership and drive processes forward
What you'll be doing
Utilising a wide variety of data sources and tools (SAS, SQL, Business Objects etc) provide actionable insight and analysis in support of Business achieving its targets
Responsible for the accuracy and relevance of data used in analysis and reports and any limitations are understood and taken into account
Deliver robust, accurate and timely reporting and analytics for all segments (P&L, customer behaviour, product adoption, KPI’s, channels etc)
Deliver regular reports and dashboards covering financial and non-financial performance
Support in the delivery of new reporting solutions including tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, Qlik), data sources (e.g. DWH datasets), data quality improvements and delivery systems
Build relationships across Marketing and Sales, the broader Finance community and B.I. teams in order to support the strategic direction in the reporting and analytical space
Be supportive to the wider team in order to build a positive team spirit and enjoyable working environment
We'll also need to see these on your CV
You’ll be great at problem-solving, with strong attention to detail.
Experience of using SQL, Excel and Qlik
Experience of stakeholder management, demonstrating ability to work closely with external stakeholders
Commercial understanding within the telecoms industry.
