We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Crime Data Analyst to join our team in Milton Keynes.

As an experienced Financial Crime analyst/data scientist you will take on the exciting challenge of using analytics and data science to protect the bank from exposure to Financial Crime. The analyst will get the opportunity to use advanced analytics across a wide-range of challenges and will be expected to lead projects and manage others as required.

As a Financial Crime Data Analyst your main responsibilities will be

* Leading analytical projects to protect Santander from exposure to Financial Crime.

* Managing other analysts (as required) to deliver work of a high-standard.

* Mentoring junior members of the team in analytics and financial crime.

* Be able to solve complex business problems using a combination of analytical tools such as SAS, Spark and R.

* Using their knowledge of financial crime to ensure that best practice is adopted.

Minimum skills and experience required

* Technical requirements are an absolute must, so applied knowledge of the following is required:

* SAS

* Big Data Spark

* Python

* Statistical Modelling

* Machine Learning

* The candidate will be both an Analytics SME and a Financial Crime SME.

* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present to large groups at internal and external meetings.

* People management experience.

* Sound programme/project management skills.

* Knowledge of retail banking and fraud is desirable.
