Job Purpose
Client Dealing Functions

This includes those who advise on investments and perform related functions (such as dealing and arranging), deal as principal or agent, corporate finance and arrange deals in investments, or act as investment manager.

Manager of Certification Employees

e.g. individuals who supervise or manage a certified person directly or indirectly.

Proprietary Trader

e.g. individuals who are dealing in regulated investments as a principal.

Algorithmic Trading

e.g. Individuals who approve a trading algorithm for deployment or monitor and decide whether or not to use a trading algorithm and whether it remains compliant with the firm’s obligations

Summary of Key Responsibilities
The primary role within the SCIB UK Marketing team is to support and promote client event activity and increase awareness of SCIB UK in the market, to solidify client relationships and new business and ultimately to drive revenues. This role is also responsible for supporting the Head of Marketing on marketing strategy and team management.

Support the organisational planning and implementation of all aspects of marketing within SCIB:

• Client events (UK and Europe)
• Hospitality management
• Conferences
• Sponsorships
• Stakeholder management
• Team onsites
• SCIB UK Town Halls
• Projects (eg. Alexandria, LAF committee events)
• Finance (invoicing and budget updates and reports)
• Support on strategy


Support Head of Marketing with the budget through invoicing, updates and reporting.
Provide support to the Head of Marketing on the strategy of the Marketing plan in line with business objectives, ensuring we align with Global partners.
Manage conferences for internal stakeholders across Europe. Arrange delegates passes, contracts and conference logistics.
Coordinate partnerships for the business with industry bodies as well as contracts for conference sponsorships in Europe and the US. Negotiating the most beneficial packages for our business.

Stakeholder management
Working with stakeholders and handling a diverse range of needs across the business ensuring all marketing requirements are met for our internal clients.
Internal events
Manage internal events for the CEO’s office including Quarterly Updates to staff as well as regulatory Town Halls, LAF events (charity runs, evening talks, engagement events) and team onsites across SCIB UK.
Projects for the business
Previous examples - GDPR, Banking Reform, rebrands, LAF, Alexandria Champion.
Manage all client hospitality events within plans and budgets and working closely
with the Santander sponsorship team on allocations.
Client events
Planning and delivering economist seminars, panel discussion events, roundtables, private dinners, large conferences with client attendance in the UK and across Europe.

External Stakeholders
Event suppliers, design agencies, industry bodies, conference organisers, venues, AV suppliers.

Executing client events and sponsorships for the business, ensuring a high level of service including timely communications and organisation with the teams and information for clients, working closely with the event suppliers to deliver the best opportunities and environment for business development and sales.

Qualifications/Accreditations/Professional Membership & Level

Educated to Degree level in Marketing Communications / Media / Brand

Direct experience in Salesforce, managing events, senior level stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, strategy experience, project management, brand and design, previous role within the finance industry.

At least 10 years of Marketing experience
