About the Team
The Global Marketing team at Future has an integral role in growing our B2C and B2B brand across international markets. With the recent appointment of a new Chief Commercial Officer to focus our efforts on telling the Future success story to our clients, investors and people, now is an exciting time to join the team.
The Global marketing team has responsibility for a range of marketing activities including Subscriptions, Trade marketing & Sales Support, PR and Creative Solutions, Digital Marketing & Audience growth.
The Global Marketing Director is responsible for leading marketing strategy, planning & execution across our B2C and B2B businesses. Key areas of focus will include:
Growth: You will drive the acquisition and retention of print and digital subscriptions through developing member strategies across the lifecycle to drive engagement, conversion and nurturing subscribers with relevant and personalised communications. You will be accountable for net growth, yield and LTV across the portfolio.
Trade Marketing: You will lead the trade Marketing team with overall responsibility for developing highly effective sales support material that will improve conversion and retention of our advertising clients. You will also be accountable for Event marketing to attract sponsors, suppliers and consumers to our events.
Experience: Critical to acquiring and retaining subscribers is our proposition. This role will be responsible for shaping and developing ‘why wouldn’t you’ content propositions across our verticals and brands to drive growth. This will be data driven and based on actionable insight.
PR: Future has an incredible story to be told, which attracts talent, investors, advertisers and readers. The dedicated PR function will be responsible for corporate, trade and consumer PR.
Planning: is a critical success factor in performance marketing, especially when developed across both trade and consumer markets, as well as multiple geographies and verticals. This team will report into this role and will ensure marketing effectiveness and measure ROAS.
Data, Insight and Analysis are central to the Global Marketing Director’s role and as such they are expected to understand and analyse data and use it effectively to drive decision-making and reporting. Also, to increase, append and effectively use audience data.
As a key stakeholder in the budget process, the Global Marketing Director will be expected to contribute accurate and meaningful forecasts to comprise budgets and reforecasts and will be accountable for pricing and managing spend to budget and agreed strategy.
The Global Marketing Director is also accountable for the delivery of key projects as directed by the business. In addition, in the event of an acquisition of another business, the Global Marketing Director is required to be part of the project group that supports the delivery of the migration plan.

* In the case of business acquisitions, to help deliver migration plans.
What do I need to succeed?
* Strong track record of delivering global B2C and B2B marketing success in a complex, matrixed organisation
* Substantial experience of leading and managing large, global teams.
* Digital acquisition / performance marketing experience
* CRM incl. segment-based cross device marcomms experience
* Experience of PR
* Budget and P&L experience
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at senior level
* Proven data and analytical skills – using data to provide insight and make informed decisions
* Effective decision-making
* Planning and organisational skills
* Multinational experience is essential. Experience of operating in the US is preferable
