Job Title: Group Marketing Communications Executive / Assistant

Location: Birstall, West Yorkshire

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

The Role:

The company is looking for someone to be a key member of the marketing team working closely with the Group Commercial Director in the defining and execution of marketing communication strategies across the Group of Companies. Working collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders to increase brand awareness and drive the meeting of business objectives and targets for the Group.

Depending on your level of experience you'll be joining in either a Marketing Executive or Marketing Assistant position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the achievement of the business objectives across all 3 companies driving business strategy with effective marketing plans.
  • Coordinating and contributing to the development of all new marketing collateral developing comprehensive briefs and project managing to completion.
  • Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing communication plans for each of the Companies within the group
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of key market segments & stakeholders for each business.
  • Preparing interesting written copy for the website and social media platforms.
  • Developing creative content for the website and social media platforms and all communication materials, working collaboratively with the Creative Designer.
  • Analysing social media insights to guide future social media campaigns.
  • Reporting on social media mentions of the brand internally providing useful feedback to the wider teams and searching social media for off-diary stories and content
  • Undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure objectives are met.
  • Assisting in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular reference to pricing, presentation and promotion.
  • Organising, co-ordinating and attending internal & external customer events.

The above list of duties is not exhaustive and your level of involvement in each may differ depending on whether you enter the role at Executive or Assistant level.

  • Previous experience working within a Marketing Role (for the executive role a minimum of 3 years' experience is required)

  • A degree in marketing (essential for the executive role but not essential for the assistant role however would be an advantage)
  • Personable, presentable and articulate
  • Effective project management skills (essential for executive role)
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Effective project management skills
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office - essential, Adobe Creative Suite - (an advantage), proficient with digital platforms (websites and social media) has an ability to refresh and update website content
  • Must have a full clean driving licence
  • Staying away from home occasionally may be required whilst attending events and exhibitions
