This International Management Consultancy specialises in data centric solutions - these solutions are not tied to any proprietary software and is usually made up of a mix of capability, technology and people aligned together to unlock the potential held within any firm's data.
This role sits within their solutions team. A function aligned to pre-sales engagement with clients, with this role being the SME on all things Data Management, Governance, Strategy and Architecture. Primarily focused towards Cloud platforms and Big Data ecosystems and their application in unlocking potential value for businesses.
This role is looking to be appointed either in the UK or in Germany, and will require someone with at least business level proficiency in communicating in both languages.
They're seeking a subject matter expert to take on this role which is critical in the pre-sales process and growth of customer value. Working in partnership with sales teams and client contacts to understand their challenges. Putting your wealth of experience and depth of knowledge in the 'art of the possible' in all things Big Data to good use.
You will be the firm's subject matter expert for Europe - working across a broad mix of challenges and business types. Speaking to them about either:
You will involved in client engagement from an early stage. Engaging clients directly to understand their business challenge, then designing and proposing an appropriate solution - be it manpower, process or tech capability based.
Upon client instruction, you will put your proposal into action through a project team who will work on proof of concepts, through to scale up and implementation. Periodically checking in to ensure the solution is on-track and will achieve the client's business objectives. This role does not have the project delivery team reporting into it, but you will maintain client contact to ensure they're happy with the solution. Also to identify opportunities to grow client value and enhance the working partnership by proposing additional solutions based on further understanding their challenges and seeing commercial opportunities.

The firm has a Global footprint and employs circa 3,500 people. Their principal offering is data, data science and analytics services. Their involvement with clients can cover the broad spectrum of needs any business has around its data and turning that into a commercial asset and source of competitive advantage.
Industries they're best embedded within include telecoms and media, retail, manufacturing, professional and commercial services. They're all principally Tier 1 clients with a growing client footprint across the EU at the moment.
It's important to highlight - despite being involved in pitches to both prospect and existing clients, this role carries no direct sales targets.
Your client stakeholders will be made up of C-Suite, Director and Head of levels within client data teams.
Clients are located across Europe, so travel will be required. The business has real ambition for growth and has a solid pipeline of prospects in place. So you will find the various sales directors within the EU region will be actively looking to engage with you for your expertise and subject matter knowledge.
The role will vary its location requirements based on client needs and meetings. On average it's likely working 3 days a week on client site. The other 2 will likely be based at home.
Any business related travel is expensed. They're happy for someone to be based either in Germany or the UK as principal domicile for this appointment.

Location - Contracted as 'Home based' (can be UK or Germany as principal domicile).
Salary - £90,000 to £120,000 (€100,000 - €140,000)
