The rapidly growing Management Consultancy is looking for a Head of Digital with broad digital/performance marketing experience to join their Consultancy team. This role will lead the digital marketing activities for the News, Politics and Current Affairs clients. This is a high profile strategic role that will focus on working with clients to achieve their goals, which can include anything from reputation management to crisis management.

They are looking for a tenacious Digital Marketer who is looking for a challenging role. This position will support the digital needs of their clients that represent a variety of industries, sectors & regions of the world. This role will focus on the strategic delivery of performance marketing with a strong focus on PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates and Display campaigns. You will have a thorough knowledge of social media and digital strategy and understand how it translates into actionable, measurable results to advance the objectives of private and public sector clients.

As the companies digital lead you will work closely with the Director of Consulting to shape and deliver the digital strategy to achieve the clients' goals. This role requires an analytical thinker keen on monitoring ROI, who can bring ideas to the table and have the drive to see both large and small projects through to fruition.

The company is a rapidly expanding Management Consultancy keen to invest into digital. As part of the leadership team, you will champion the value of Digital work with stakeholders enable growth.

The role will be based in their Mayfair offices and be responsible for:

  • Collaborate and execute day-to-day client work and produce high-quality deliverables including content documents, ad copy, website copy and reports.
  • Conduct research using digital and analytic tools to synthesize data to provide insight and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Conduct real-time crisis reports for clients in short order when necessary.
  • Analyze the online footprint of clients and provide comprehensive analysis on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
  • Develop paid digital strategies and promotional opportunities for clients, and execute.
  • Assist with the drafting of proposals and other new business support.
  • Draft and develop content with best practices unique to each platform. The ideal candidate must also understand how different audiences use digital and social media and adapt content and strategy to effectively reach them.
  • Work cross-functionally with other colleagues, client partners, practice leads and Mercury offices.
  • Participate in brainstorms, develop communication/PR ideas that will benefit our clients
  • Create monthly digital engagement reports for clients, adapting and tailoring these reports to each client and their needs.

The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to Digital Marketing, have a consultative mind-set and have experienced working in the News, Public Affairs or Current Affairs arena. Experience working in a Management Consultancy or Agency environment (at a Senior Level) will all be advantageous.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Several years of experience in a digital-focused communications role
  • Experience with various digital tracking tools and analytics platforms. TrackMaven and Talkwalker experience a plus
  • Strong verbal, written and analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of community management with the knowledge of how to run and manage social media platforms individually and cohesively
  • Demonstrated ability on how to set up and run paid media campaigns with a keen understanding of strategic targeting
  • Public affairs / political campaign or agency experience
