Head of Innovation - Marketing, Banbury -
An outstanding opportunity to join a continually expanding and independent financial services business with a global presence. This role would suit a senior marketing and innovation professional who can introduce and develop new product initiatives.
Purpose of the role:
Lead and manage the Innovation agenda across the group globally to support business growth and diversification in line with business strategy. Lead the effort in assessing and developing partnerships to ensure the business leverage emerging new routes to market. Initiate, develop and manage the innovation pipeline through to delivery stage, ensuring an effective balance between commercial returns and acceptable Risk appetite. Lead communication and reporting of innovation and partnership activity and progress across the business.
*Full definition and effective deployment of the end to end innovation process & delivery approach
*Working (via virtual teams) with key stakeholders and SME's across the group, generate a pipeline of new Products/Services/Solutions, targeting new routes to market/distribution channels.
*Idea generation driven through collection and analysis of internal, market, customer & third party insight.
*Development & management of the business's Innovation pipeline from idea generation stage through to ExCo approved business case, ensuring appropriate business prioritisation, support and sponsorship.
*Establish appropriate project plans and governance to ensure Innovations are robustly delivered, with a high probability of success.
*Manage end to end project delivery (with support of delivery resources as agreed) in full alignment with the broader business resources and strategic business priorities e.g. Finance, Change.
*Ensure all project learnings are captured throughout the development journey to inform future projects
and build innovation capabilities
Skills and Experience Required:
*Knowledge and management experience of the end to end innovation approach, methodologies and process
*5 years plus experience at management levels in marketing within a Financial Services business, leading innovation and new partnerships development
*Experience managing and mobilising senior stakeholders and functional SME's
*International experience working across multiple geographies
Commercial, project management, running, planning, execution, running workshops, presentation, influencing, organisation, excellent communication written and verbal, strong interpersonal skills, team player
Desirable knowledge and experience:
Experience - Finance, Innovation Management (managing product growth across multiple channels and geographies), Marketing.
Qualifications -ABFA qualification, CIM diploma or equivalent, 6 Sigma, MSP, Prince 2, CSPO
