Head of Product & Category

Elevation Recruitment have exclusively partnered with our client who have grown year on year and over the past 4 years have been through a fantastic M&A plan, adding further businesses and revenue streams to their product offering. They supply into the retail and trade / wholesale market some of the best products in their sector.

Due to this growth, they now seek a Head of Product & Category to work closely with the Head of Marketing and reporting to the Commercial Director. You will provide leadership to the Product Marketing team within their category groups to develop, manage and deploy ranges that excite the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

*Gain a deep understanding of each of the brand within the portfolio, to harmonise processes across the Category Management mix
*Develop a strategic product plan that delivers against key business objectives
*Create and embed new processes for the development and implementation of NPD and an annualised range programme
*Analyse and report on category efficiency, margin and financial performance
*Spearhead competitor and market landscape analysis and develop pricing strategies alongside Commercial leads, that drive stronger customer-focused range plans
*Support the delivery of team targets/KPI's - compliant with relevant policies

Skills and Experience:

*Relevant experience in the same or similar roles
*Retail / consumer durables background
*Exceptional leadership and man-management experience
*Confident and passionate, with strong listening and collaboration skills
*Strategic, commercial thinker and self-starter
*Strong influencing, negotiation and analytical skills
*Exceptional interpersonal skills - ability to build strong relationships at all levels
*Solid understanding change management (some experience preferred)
