We're looking for an experienced consumer media professional to join our in-house communications planning team. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding audiences, crafting distribution strategies and scaling world-class teams. This role will be responsible for managing a team that drives media strategy and execution across Facebook's International Marketing & Events efforts. The right person can lead both media strategy and hands-on execution, effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners, and establish operational excellence to maximize impact across the team.

Responsibilities

*
Manage team of media managers running campaigns to drive Facebook's brand and product goals among the consumer audience

*
Develop media strategies and plans to drive awareness, consideration and adoption of Facebook's product offerings

*
Demonstrate thought leadership in media strategy, innovation and measurement with an emphasis on digital marketing efforts

*
Maximize relationships with cross-functional partners across product marketing, creative, PR, partnerships, finance and analytics teams to develop impactful, integrated work

*
Serve as a credible, expert voice internally to represent media strategy

*
Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence media and audience strategy, while also informing tactical planning, execution and optimization

*
Develop and execute effective media strategies while simultaneously rolling-up your sleeves tactically

*
Help to intelligently scale the consumer media team, while establishing operational best practices around plan development, media investment management, systems and tools and streamlined measurement

*
Partner with manager to steward the team's development and career growth

*
Understand specific needs, media consumption nuances and sensitivities of consumers in both developed and emerging markets around the world

Minimum Qualifications

*
8+ years of developing and leading integrated communications strategies, media plans and campaign execution

*
3+ years of people management experience

*
International experience including markets within EMEA, APAC, LATAM and NA

*
Knowledge of current trends and innovation in media, tracking, analytics and research

*
Deep knowledge of consumer media trends

*
Experience of working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

*
Experience with planning and executing consumer media campaigns across multiple markets and audiences

*
Experience making cohesive consumer communications campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels

*
Knowledge of industry tools such as MRI, comScore, Nielsen

*
Proven track-record displaying thought-leadership and influence

*
Willingness to travel 50%+

Preferred qualifications

*
Experience managing a growing team and working effectively across all levels of management, teams, and disciplines

*
Experience working on high visibility consumer and/or tech brands

*
Deep knowledge of the Facebook advertising platform and expertise in crafting media solutions that drive positive outcomes

*
Able to initiate and drive outcomes independently, while operating in a complex organization

*
Paid media experience across social, digital and offline channels

*
Operationally minded with a quality service orientation.
