The Company

FMCG Connect are pleased to be working with an excellent and expanding international consumer products business based in Leeds.

The Opportunity

The role is an interim maternity cover assignment of at least 9 months in duration. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, developing & implementing the UK consumer marketing strategy across the full marketing mix
  • Day-to-day management of a small team
  • Work closely with retailers on trade marketing opportunities
  • Full budget responsibility & spend allocation
  • Support UK sales growth by working closely with the sales team to maximise retail opportunities & support new channels / channel expansion opportunities.
  • Manage external agencies as appropriate including the potential for initiating relationships, contract review, setting strategic goals, development of plans and following-through with accountability for results

The Person

  • Ideally 3-5 years' experience within product and/or brand management within Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Retail
  • Experienced in copywriting & creative thinking
  • Experienced in NPD & packaging development
  • Digital marketing experience preferable, with good understanding of online retailers (e.g. Amazon)
  • Commercially focused and results driven with the ability to accurately manage budgets and agency spend.
  • Ability to work cross functionally, with both senior management & as a hands-on member of the marketing team
