This is a really exciting 12 month fixed term contract vacancy for an International Business Development Manager to join an award-winning BD team in a leading International law firm, overseeing and delivering a comprehensive BD service to the International IP team.
The post holder will not have any direct reports, but junior members of the UK IP team and BD members in other jurisdictions will support the role as needed. The role involves working closely with Partners and Associates across the international firm as well as individuals from the Marketing, PR, Talent, and Finance teams. The role is broad in nature and the International Business Development Manager (IP) will act as a trusted advisor to practice area leaders and the broader partner team, helping to draft business plans, advising on BD investment decisions and identifying new BD opportunities. You will be tasked with devising and implementing client plans and developing key accounts; managing and supporting the bids process and credentials; ensuring the high quality of marketing collateral; PR and hospitality; and proactively commissioning and conducting market research and analysis.
You will be able to demonstrate an outstanding track record of BD and have experience working collaboratively across borders and leading international projects within a professional services environment. You will also have knowledge and experience of working within the real estate sector and a proven ability to conduct business analysis and develop strategic plans. The International Business Development Manager must be able to work as part of a small, closely-knit team, and have experience of managing and motivating individuals. It is essential that you possess a real commercial instinct, excellent communication skills and an innate ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of an organisation.
