Bored with the mundane, a multinational food business with an NPD pipeline which is causing market excitement require an International Category Development Manager – Brand Manager with the ambition that can match their own
Key Responsibilities will be:
Firstly to manage and develop the company’s category strategy within the European market in line with the objectives set. In order to do this, the role is central to providing the company with market information and insight to create business growth opportunities particularly in launch innovation.
Secondly to manage the brand plans and activation initiatives in international markets following the brand strategies, which you will have an input.
This is a role with a significant level of customer interaction particularly with French retailers. Support will be given to the National Account Team to present Category data, insight and innovations to the customers. This would also entail commercial proposals including trade marketing initiatives. Also working closely with the brand team to ensure the international strategy is aligned and deliver the brand plans
Experience & competencies
Will come from the food industry either on the retailer or supplier side, but have a good mix of category and commercial experience.
Have the knowledge and ability to access and analyse market data sources.
Will be degree educated with strong numerical and analytical skills,
Good commercial awareness
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Fluency in French
Experience working in the frozen or ambient categories would be advantageous as would knowledge of French retailers
