Department Profile

The UK Business Technology team is part of the Regional Commercial
Pharmaceutical IT group, and operates in a multi-disciplinary and matrixed environment
to deliver regional and specialised local business solutions for the UK organisation,
and across Europe, Middle East and West Africa.

Working closely with UK & Irish stakeholders, regional Product Line
Owners and J&J Technology Services, the team promote, shape, define and
commission business technology solutions in the areas of:

* multi-channel
customer engagement through digital channels
* analytics
and reporting
* customer
relationship management and engagement
* organisational
collaboration and productivity

Job Profile:

The UK Business Technology team is currently looking for an IT professional with proven business
analyst and project management skills, and expertise across the digital
technology ecosystem to deliver projects within the digital channels space. This position will involve working directly with
business stakeholders, technical product delivery teams and external customers
to shape, define and deliver:

* solutions
to help communicate with healthcare professionals and patients
* solutions
that support our organisational digital transformation and drive to a greater
integrated digital customer experience
* solutions
that gather real world evidence of results with our medicines or underpin
patient access programmes for our key products

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* Be a technology partner, working with business stakeholders to
identify unmet needs, propose IT solutions, and assist management in the
development of business cases and project charters
* Be a business analyst, leading the technical discovery process for
potential digital projects, scoping needs, gathering requirements and
producing functional specifications for a solution build, based on
regional and global standards, using our rRDM methodology (rapid
Requirements Definition & Management)
* Ensure technology projects are built and documented
in accordance with the strict compliance regulations of J&J and healthcare,
including information security, privacy and GxP as required.
* Take a regional view on technology solutions,
building a good understanding of business practice in other countries through a
network of IT colleagues, in order to leverage or create harmonised solutions
where possible
* Proactively match business needs with existing
J&J technology capability, by showcasing local/regional best practice with
key stakeholders, encouraging adoption of core systems and harmonised process,
and highlighting value in a business context
* Cultivate
relationships with marketing brands teams, medical, multi-channel and
operations groups, external agencies and partners to develop deep insights into
the needs of our business departments and customers
* Represent IT with
external partners and customers, and consult on selection and approval of third
party service providers regards web and mobile solutions
* Work with Regional Product Line Owner/s to shape long
term solution roadmap according to business priorities, and understand the
technology roadmap
* Provide rapid prototyping and conceptual designs where
requirements are ambiguous or unproven
* Manage delivery of local/regional solutions through
the J&J Development team, acting as Product Owner in scrum development
* Help content partners (e.g. marketing agencies)
adhere to technical specifications when providing design and content

Qualifications

Qualifications &
Experience

* Degree in Computer
Science/Business Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline
* Certification in
Business Analysis (e.g. ISEB Business Analysis Diploma) and Project Management
(e.g. PRINCE2, APMP) areas
* Current or very recent role is business facing
* Expert in the
digital technology ecosystem (e.g. static/dynamic web, mobile apps, hosting
approaches, frameworks, media)
* Good understanding
of HTML/CSS/JS, web frameworks such as Drupal, responsive design, content
management systems and web analytics
* Relevant experience,
ideally digital technology related, inc. hands-on experience with web and
mobile solution delivery
* Able to recommend
and challenge choices around the best technology approaches (solution design)
to meet business needs
* Experience working
in process-driven regulated environments (SDLC, Agile) co-ordinating internal
and external delivery partners toward a single goal, operating within rigorous
compliance guidelines

Skills

* Able to influence across a range of business roles
and stakeholder seniorities
* Effective team working
* Ability to build effective relationships with
customers, matrix teams, suppliers, partners etc.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Good at facilitating workshops and meetings, and negotiating
