The Junior Creative Media Specialist will work as part of the strategic capabilities function for the Johnson & Johnson medical devices business across UK & Ireland, reporting into the Franchise Manager UK & Ireland. The focus of the role will be to partner with the Internal business functions, Regional/WW Marcomm teams, to develop and create creative and compelling assets to tell the story of the JJMDC brands and company. The role holder will be responsible for keeping both external and internal messaging within brand guidelines, but also following latest messaging trend curves. The role holder will be responsible for bringing new creative concepts to the fore within our organisation and deliver new innovative ways of communicating to our readers.
This role will be based in the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices office’s across Leeds and Pinewood campuses.
Key areas of responsibility:
Artwork creation: Brochures, adverts, flyers, video’s, social media cards, e-shots and other marketing collateral where necessary.
Developing concepts and executing on multiple projects in a timely manner.
Demonstrating skillful application of design methods and practices.
Utilizing knowledge of design, innovative thinking and cultural trends to guide solutions.
Updating existing sales collateral and documents
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Fully understands briefs and able to present creative ideas from those briefs.
Able to deliver quality work, in compliance with established procedures and /or protocols, within tight deadlines, yet is aware of needs and impact of co-workers
Support in running and Maintaining our One MD playbook including all collateral updates
Making informed technical recommendations to designers and platform managers
Liaising with print production companies and take ownership of logistics to meet deadlines
Works with other Project Executives to ensure consistent standards across all MD business functions & drive up to date creative concepts forward
Video creation across MD, filming and editing.
Support and assist in social media strategies with creation and implementation of assets.
Advise and deliver on new and innovative communication strategies, and technological advancements in design creation and implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
Educated to degree level
Strong working knowledge of Adobe CC and fully competent in Adobe InDesign, Adobe illustrator, and photoshop is essential. Knowledge of Adobe Premium Pro is advantageous.
Good understanding of brand & brand hierarchy
Good understanding of creative workflows
Basic CSS & HTML advantageous.
Appropriate experience in a marketing communications environment
A strong contributor to team dynamics in previous environments
Professional individual with excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize in pressured situations and communicate effectively during those periods.
Internally focused relationship building skills; experienced in developing effective relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders at the highest levels, in the internal environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple commercial projects successfully.
Ability to analyze, adapt, and drive appropriate change for the dynamic interplay between vision, strategy, tactics and execution
Fluent in English (oral and written)
