Job Context

Credit Risk is pivotal in
stopping applicants with a high propensity to be Fraud or Bad Debt connecting
onto the network, whilst still ensuring we take on as many connections as

The successful candidate will
have a leading role in the team using their expertise in specialist systems,
such as SAS to understand the end to end performance drilling down to identify
trends, issues and opportunities. They will investigate variances and support
changes by providing impact assessments and post implementation reviews. They
will be one of the main links into other key areas within Finance Operations,
and in bringing our analysts along on the journey.

You will be using your existing
Excel and advanced SAS skills to pro-actively come up with ideas by collecting,
analysing and interpreting our data and our credit policies to make
recommendations to management.

Risk Performance Analytics, the team which controls the First Bill Not Paid

Roles & Responsibilities

Liaise with other business
areas and have regular conversations with key stakeholders.

Review and provide feedback
and insight on our propositions, projects and services and consistently look
for opportunities to support delivery of the company goals.

Proactively collect, analyse
and interpret information to support the development of credit strategies,
policies and processes.

Use your existing Excel and advanced
SAS knowledge to create your own code to collect, analyse and interpret
information to understand key trends in our data.

Mentor and help to develop our
Credit Analysts within the team to ensure their development plans are
progressed and best practices are shared.

Engage with team members to
manage the key performance objectives and challenge existing credit policies.

Perform regular and ad-hoc
tasks, producing useful insight, making and communicating your recommendations while
driving towards a successful conclusion that will add value to the contributions
from the Credit Risk team.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Must have experience and


A degree
level or equivalent education in a numerate or analytical discipline.


Advanced experience
in analysing data using SAS (Base), SQL or similar language.


in Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications.


Excel skills: Macros, Pivots, Vlookup, conditional formatting etc. (VBA


Leading a
team or mentoring more junior members of the team.
